Let the countdown to Catholic Schools Week began๐ฌ๐ญ

A quick glance at the happenings this weekโ๏ธ๐คฉ๐พ

There will be no Friday Mass this week โ๏ธ

The coming of the Kingdom of God is a central theme of the New Testament. John the Baptist urges us to repent from sin in order to prepare for the coming of the Kingdom, and Jesus teaches that he has come to bring about the beginning of the Kingdom of God. This week the middle school students spent time discussing how they can make a more just and peaceful world, especially in times of social injustice. They also discussed how St. Damien De Verisure, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, and St. Anthony Abbot, and others in history have shown values of Godโs Kingdom. On Tuesday, the middle school students along with many staff attended Msgr. Carl Scmittโs funeral and heard Fr. Dellaert talk about how Fr. Carl was a great example of living a life of stewardship and answering Jesusโ call to create a more harmonious world. While it is hard to say goodbye to someone who has had such a long and lasting impact on this school and our community, we are thankful for the model of faith he has provided for us all. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
