A quick glance at the happenings this week✝️🤩🐾
There will be no Friday Mass this week ✝️
The coming of the Kingdom of God is a central theme of the New Testament. John the Baptist urges us to repent from sin in order to prepare for the coming of the Kingdom, and Jesus teaches that he has come to bring about the beginning of the Kingdom of God. This week the middle school students spent time discussing how they can make a more just and peaceful world, especially in times of social injustice. They also discussed how St. Damien De Verisure, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, and St. Anthony Abbot, and others in history have shown values of God’s Kingdom. On Tuesday, the middle school students along with many staff attended Msgr. Carl Scmitt’s funeral and heard Fr. Dellaert talk about how Fr. Carl was a great example of living a life of stewardship and answering Jesus’ call to create a more harmonious world. While it is hard to say goodbye to someone who has had such a long and lasting impact on this school and our community, we are thankful for the model of faith he has provided for us all. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Kindergarten students were able to purchase 40 books and 40 pairs of pajamas with the profits from the hot cocoa stands throughout the month of December. These pajamas are going to Families Together in Waverly to serve children in our local communities. We appreciate the support of our customers in helping us reach this goal!📚📖
On Monday, our kindergarteners joyfully celebrated the Epiphany of the Lord with a special breakfast featuring delicious King's cake! 👑✨
