There will be no school today, Thursday, January 19th, for St. Joseph Community School.
St. Joseph Community School will be 2 hours late tomorrow, Thursday, January 19th.
Kindergarten students were able to use the proceeds from the Kindergarten Cocoa Cafe, along with several generous donations, to purchase 33 books and 33 pairs of pajamas for the Pajama Program. Thank you for your support! Next up is the kindergarten Valentine stand, Xs and Os. Watch for more information coming soon!


We have some exciting news!

Attention Families: St. Joseph Community School will be closed tomorrow, 12/22/22 due to impending weather. We will also be closing KidZone for the safety of everyone. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. Again, St. Joseph Community School will be closed.
The preschool and kindergarten students came to the library today to read How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We had a special guest make an appearance. It was the Grinch himself! He helped with the story, did some activities, and even received many hugs. He also stopped and visited all the students in the classrooms. Thank you Mr. Grinch for stopping by our school!
Also, a special thank you to the New Horizons Chamber for making this happen!




The fourth grade learned about Christmas trees today. A big Thank you to Jessica Rochford from Farm Bureau for sharing your lesson.

Today we celebrated Computer Science Week by having Kathy Hay from Keystone AEA bring many different robots for our Preschool through 8th grade students to program. It was a hit with all.




We have a group of St. Joseph Community School staff members that would love to spread some Christmas cheer in the community. K-2 spent time together today in Thanksgiving themed rotations. They enjoyed BINGO, BeeBots, and a movie. During the BeeBot rotation, students used their knowledge of coding to program the BeeBot to complete Thanksgiving related tasks…such as picking up the foods to take to Grandma’s for Thanksgiving!
